The Lakeland High School softball team picked up a 12-0 win over Oscar Smith High School Thursday evening.

The Lady Cavs picked up another win this week with the defeat of the Lady Tigers. They also picked up a win earlier on in the week after taking down Hopewell High School. Lakeland scored 11 runs between the third and fourth innings to finish the game.

Kamryn Whitley went 3-4 with three RBIs and two doubles, while Brooke Howe went 2-4 with two RBIs and a double. Hayleigh Presson got the win in the circle for the Lady Cavs in the shutout. She is now 6-7 on the year.

Lakeland played its first game with no errors. The Lady Cavs will take on Deep Creek High School in a make-up game on the road at 5:30 p.m. Monday.
