Charles Ray James, 83, of Silver Spring, Md., formerly of White Plains, N.Y., and Suffolk, passed away peacefully on May 7. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara James; children, Raymond and Derrick James and Brendalyn Brown. A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 17, with service at 11 a.m. at Norbeck Community Church in Silver Spring, Md. A graveside service will be held at noon Saturday, May 18, at Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery, Suffolk. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Casey House Montgomery Hospice.
