The Nansemond River High School boys’ soccer season came to an end after a shutout Thursday evening.
In the first round of the Class 5 Region A boys’ soccer tournament, the two Warriors quads matched up with each other. Kecoughtan High School showed to be the better Warriors on the evening with a 4-0 win over Nansemond River.
Nansemond River finished its season with a 12-3-2 record.
Nansemond River was able to bounce back this season after missing out on the regional playoffs last season. In what many thought would be a rebuilding year, the Warriors came out strong. They finished the season with only three losses and double-digit wins, including winning their division in the Nike Palmetto tournament in South Carolina over spring break.
