One person died in a crash involving a passenger vehicle and tractor-trailer early Saturday.

The crash was reported just after midnight in the 8100 block of South Quay Road at the intersection with Leafwood Road, according to a city press release.

Suffolk Police and Suffolk Fire & Rescue responded. One person was pronounced deceased at the scene. The name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
