Following are this week’s nominees for the Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

Kori Carter, senior, Nansemond River High School track: Carter won three state titles for the Warriors, which included two individual titles and a relay title, helping the team to a title of its own.

Teshun Pierre, junior, Lakeland High School track: Pierre finished second in 110-meter hurdles in the state meet.
