Mrs. Bettie Sue Scott, of Chesterfield (formerly of Suffolk), peacefully entered eternal rest on Monday, June 10, 2019, at Johnston-Willis Memorial Hospital, Richmond. There will be a wake from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2019, at Community Independence Methodist Church, 12033 River Road, Chesterfield, VA 23838. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2019, at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 800 Augusta Ave., Petersburg.

She leaves to cherish her memories, three sons, Joseph Jr. (Vanessa), Corey (Karleah) and Tajuan (Chenita), all of Chesterfield; three sisters, Christine Edwards, of Hamstead, N.Y., Pauline “Beck” Maxwell (Walter), of Union Dale, N.Y., Orpah West (Clarence), of Suffolk; one brother, William Edwards (Evelyn), of Millford, Pa.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
