Police investigate armed robbery

Suffolk Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened at a cellphone store Thursday afternoon.

The robbery was reported at 4:01 p.m. at the Sprint Cellular Store in the 1000 block of University Boulevard, according to a city press release.

Store clerks advised officers that two suspects entered the business wearing masks and gloves, the release stated. One of the suspects presented a firearm and made demands. They removed property from the business and fled on foot.

No injuries were reported, and the investigation is ongoing.
