Police investigate robbery

Suffolk Police are investigating an armed robbery of a local convenience store.

The robbery was reported at 11:48 p.m. Sunday at the 7-Eleven in the 1000 block of Centerbrooke Lane, according to a city press release.

Preliminary investigation found that two males entered the business, with one displaying a firearm, and demanded money.

Both subjects fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash, according to the press release. They were described as wearing black hoodies, black pants, glasses, and one of the men had a green rag over his face.

Nobody was injured during the robbery.

Police say a surveillance photo will be provided at a later time.
