For the past two seasons, George Pettaway has been a standout on the football field for Nansemond-Suffolk Academy. Because of his play, he has garnered a lot of attention across the country from different college programs. As the initial top 100 prospects of the class of 2022 were released by 24/7 Sports, Pettaway tentatively sits at the No. 33 spot. He is ranked the No. 3 player in the state and the No. 5 ranked running back in his class in the country. Right now, he sits as a four-star prospect.

Things could change between now and the start of Pettaway’s senior season, but there is no doubt that over the next couple of years, he will be a premier player to watch locally and nationally.
