Police investigate armed robbery at McDonald’s

Suffolk Police are investigating an armed robbery of the College Drive McDonald’s that happened early Friday.

The robbery was reported at 4:33 a.m. at the McDonald’s in the 6200 block of College Drive, according to a city press release. Workers told police a male with a knife forced his way into the building as they were opening and demanded money.

The man was described as about 6 feet, 2 inches tall and wearing all black clothing, according to the press release. He fled on foot with an undetermined amount of currency.

There were no injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing. Surveillance video photos will be provided at a later time, the press release stated.
