Suffolk Police say they have arrested a man after investigating a complaint of sexual assault.

At 12:42 a.m. Aug. 7, police say, they were contacted by a woman who reported she was performing her job as an Uber driver when she was sexually assaulted by her passenger in the area of the 1200 block of Kings Highway and Bridge Point Trail, according to a city press release.

After investigation, Jeffery Allen Paxton, 54, of Suffolk, was arrested Aug. 9 and charged with sexual battery, the press release stated.
