Bulldogs get the best of Warriors

The King’s Fork boys’ volleyball team stayed undefeated after a 3-1 home win over Nansemond River Thursday.

After picking up a win against Wilson, the Bulldogs had to make a quick turn around for an early season rivalry game.

Giancarlo Cecchini led the Bulldogs with 35 assists, six kills, three aces and three digs. Kyle Putrasek added four kills, six assists, three aces and 13 digs. Darius Dunn added eight kills, a block and two aces. Avontae Burke added seven kills.

King’s Fork will go on the road to take on Deep Creek at 7 p.m. Sep. 5. Nansemond River (0-2) will look to bounce back in a Sept. 10 match at home against Oscar Smith.
