The Lakeland High School field hockey team defeated Indian River High School 5-1.

The Lady Cavs picked up another win in district competition when they took on Indian River on the road Wednesday evening. Michela Brown-Mayfield led the way with two goals for Lakeland. It was a strong win for Lakeland, who will get ready to take on Southampton High School on the road Monday.

Lakeland sits at 2-1 on the season.
