Juanita Maria Coles, of Suffolk, passed away on Sept. 13, 2019.

She was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband of 45 years, Robert Earl Coles Jr.; her parents, Leander Hicks Sr. and Letitea Christian Hicks; her siblings, Leander Hicks Jr., Doris Ann Bennett, Virginia Stagg, Shirley Jernigan, Betty Boykin and Barbara Whitfield; her daughters, Vicki Deloris McAdory and Tammie Ellen Ried.

She has left to cherish her memory, siblings, Clyde Hicks and Gracie Ellen Boswell (William); daughters, Robbie Norveast Coles Savage, Sherion Jevon Overton, Melanie Deon Johnson (Steve); and sons, Robert Earl Coles III (Karen) and Jason Lamount Coles (April); 13 grandchildren and a bevy of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, friends, her brothers and sisters of the North and South Suffolk Congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and her neighbors.

As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Juanita faithfully ministered to her neighbors, family and friends alike because she wanted them to share her hope. While she believed the bible teaching that a limited number of persons will live in heaven, she looked forward to being resurrected to live again on this earth restored to paradise. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019, at 1351 White Marsh Road, Suffolk, VA 23434.
