The Nansemond River High School and Western Branch High School golf teams tied in a match at Elizabeth Manor Golf Course Tuesday afternoon.

The Warriors golf team wrapped up the regular season with a 328-328 tie with the Bruins. Before the matchup, Nansemond River hadn’t won a match against Western Branch under Coach Brandon Frye’s tenure, but a tie will have to do for now. Connor Doggett of Western Branch was the medalist on the afternoon.

Next for the Warriors will be the region tournament. Frye expects a strong contingent of Warriors to compete in the Class 5 Region A tournament.
