Community input meetings are scheduled for the public to gather information on updating the 2005 Master Plan for the Driver Sportsplex.

The Driver Sportsplex, formerly known as the Driver Naval Radio Transmitting Facility, is located at 3901 Sleepy Hole Road. There are two community input meetings set for next week in order to gather information regarding public interest on the Driver Sportsplex, according to the press release.

The first meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 15, at the East Suffolk Recreation Center at 138 S. Sixth St., and the second meeting will be held on Thursday, Oct. 17, at the North Suffolk Library at 2000 Bennetts Creek Park Road. Both meetings will begin at 6:30 p.m.

“We are seeking public outreach on developing the 380-acre park for outdoor recreation, athletics, conservation education, passive recreation and waterfront activities,” the press release states.
