The Nansemond River High School field hockey team earned a 1-0 win over Hickory High School Wednesday evening.

The Lady Warriors go to 9-4 on the year after a close win over Hickory. The game went into overtime, with Halle Fago scoring the game-winner. Laura Tallarico finished with six saves to help the Lady Warriors shut out Hickory. Nansemond River has won four of its last five games.
