Gladys Plain Brown, 80, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2019, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Sept. 1, 1939, to the late Winfield and Mable Ricks in South Hampton County.
Gladys attended Hayden High School in Franklin and retired from NNSY in 2000 after many years of employment.

Prior to illness, she was an active member of Bethlehem Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by three sons, Larry Ricks, Lonnie T. and “baby” Donnie Plain.

Gladys leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Robbie (Kenneth) Plain, Bridgette Flora (Vondria) Taylor; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many other family and friends.

Ms. Brown will be on view from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. A celebration of life service will take place at noon on Thursday at New Mt. Joy Food for Living Ministries Church, and she will be laid to rest at Carver Memorial Cemetery.
