Sonic robbed by male in clown mask

Suffolk Police are investigating the late-Monday robbery of a local fast-food drive-in by a male in a clown mask, according to a city press release.
The robbery happened at the Sonic in the 1500 block of North Main Street. It was reported at 10:41 p.m.
Preliminary investigation found that a male in a hooded jacket and clown mask entered the business, displayed a handgun and demanded money. He fled on foot after receiving an undetermined amount of money, the press release stated.
There were no injuries.
