Families will enjoy “Chills & Thrills” at the Whaleyville Recreation Center to get their children in the spooky spirit of Halloween night.

The Suffolk Parks and Recreation “Chills & Thrills” event will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 31 at the Whaleyville Recreation Center, located at 132 Robertson St. The event is free and open to families with children ages 3 to 17.

“Join us for a hair-raising experience of fun and excitement at our Chills & Thrills Halloween party,” the press release stated. “Come out and enjoy music, candy, food, crafts, bounce houses, face painting, games, a haunted house for ages (10 and up), and so much more.

“Add to the thrills by wearing your best costume! You don’t want to miss out on this enjoyable event.”
