Claude N. Askew, 73, of Newport News, transitioned Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2019, at his residence. A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019, at Rising St. James P.H.C. Pastor Robert Wilkins will deliver the message of comfort. He will be laid to rest in the C.W. Ash section of Carver Memorial Cemetery.
