Marion B. Porter, 85, of Suffolk, transitioned into eternal life on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019. She was born on April 8, 1934 in Whaleyville to the late Theodore and Hazel Bailey.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Sandra Sinkfield, of Portsmouth, and Sharon Thornhill, of Suffolk; sister, Lucille Anderson, of Hampton; two brothers, Carroll Bailey (Emily) and Bernard Bailey (Sandra); sister-in-law, Mildred Bailey; two aunts, Florine Parker and Glorine Strothers, of Suffolk; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation with family will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2019, in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at noon Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019, at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 6100 Holy Neck Road, Suffolk. The Rev. Dr. William L. Lang will deliver the message of comfort. She will be laid to rest in Mt. Sinai Baptist Church Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
