Following are this week’s nominees for the Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

• Carson Lewis, freshman, Lakeland High School field hockey: Lewis scored a goal in the Lady Cavs’ region playoff win over Hopewell.
• Brent Stratton, senior, Nansemond River High School football: Stratton totaled five touchdowns in a Warriors win over Hickory High School.
• Madeline Rawlings, senior, King’s Fork High School cross country: Rawlings finished 15^th in the Class 4 Region A meet.
