The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy volleyball team had four players earn All-Conference honors.
The Lady Saints had a strong year once again. They went undefeated on the season in conference play, earning themselves the regular season Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools title. NSA then went into the conference tournament with the top seed and took the TCIS conference tournament crown as well.
The Lady Saints were represented well on the TCIS All-Conference teams, with Addy Greene leading the way as the Player of the Year. It is her second time in the last three years earning Player of the Year honors in the conference. Rylee Bono and Livian Matthews joined Greene on the first team. Tracy Wang was selected second team All-Conference as well, making for a strong group for the Lady Saints.
“I felt really good about it,” Greene said of her award, “considering it was my last season ever getting to play with this family. I wanted to give everything I had for this team this season.”
After all conference play, the Lady Saints went on in the playoffs to advance all the way to the state championship game. Despite losing, the Lady Saints had a remarkable season to be proud of.
“Despite the loss, I won’t let the girls lose sight of all the amazing things they have done for the season and the obstacles they have overcome to get there,” Ross said. “I am so proud of this team we call a family, and the success of this season does not stem from one game.”
NSA will likely have a couple representatives on the All-State teams as well.
