The Nansemond River High School swim team earned a victory over rival Lakeland High School.

The Warriors and Cavs swim teams matched up Thursday evening for the first swim meet of the season. The Nansemond River boys’ team earned a 128-37 victory while the girls’ team earned a 132-36 win.

Andrew Betts won the 200 free and the 100 free, while Victor Anaya won the 200 individual medley and 100 breast for the Warriors. Lakeland’s Colton Brown won the 400 free. Lady Warrior Selby Heyman won the 200 free and 100 back, while Olivia Browning won the 200 individual medley and 100 fly.
