Bobby Ray Vann

Bobby Ray Vann, 74, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 9, 2019. He was born in Suffolk, the son of the late Walter Edward Vann Sr. and Grace Ollie Bundy Vann. He was predeceased by his siblings, Jeannette Price, Nellie Byrum, Joe Vann and Walter Vann, Jr.; and longtime friend, Faye Jordan. Bobby worked in demolition.

Bobby is survived by his daughters, Connie Vann and Bobbie Vann; son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Amber Vann; and their mother, Carolyn Vann; grandchildren, Kristen, Dallas and Justin Arrowood, Mercedes Carey, Jeffrey Lucas Jr., Savannah, Sarena and Caleb Vann, Victoria, Victor and Hope; great-grandchildren, Liam, Hudson and Hunter Arrowood, Alexandria and Andres Garcia; sister, Betty Davis; brother and sisters-in-law, James Earl Vann (Iris), Roger Lee Vann, and Bessie Vann; and special friend, Dan Holly.

Bobby was a devoted father and grandfather. He enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting and being outdoors. He enjoyed quality time with his family, especially spending time with his Tute (Charles) and little Tute-Tute (Caleb). Bobby will be remembered for his humor, beautiful and kind smile, his hard working ethic, and lending a hand to anyone in need. His memory will be cherished by all who were blessed to know him.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019, at Eureka Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Romy Feliciano officiating. Friends may join the family for a visitation from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory. The family requested that in lieu of flowers or a donation, that we each consider doing a random act of kindness, in his memory — something that Bobby had done throughout his whole life.
