Dr. Vasti DeLoatch, 87 years of age, peacefully departed this life on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019, in her home after a brief illness. She was born April 10, 1932, in Suffolk, as the sixth child of the late David and Inez Gray DeLoatch. An AKA Ivy Beyond the Wall Ceremony will be held at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15 at Scott’s Funeral Home in Richmond. A homegoing service will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, at Garland Avenue Baptist Church, Richmond.
