Police investigate robbery

Suffolk Police are investigating a commercial armed robbery that happened Friday evening at Dollar General in the 5900 block of Godwin Boulevard.
The incident was reported at 8:57 p.m., according to a city press release. Preliminary investigation found an unidentified male displayed a handgun and demanded money from the register before leaving on foot with an unknown amount of cash. There were no injuries.
