Lady Saints dominate Holiday Classic

The Lady Saints succeeded in the NSA-hosted Holiday Classic over the weekend, rolling past Isle of Wight Academy before toppling Fredericksburg Christian School.
The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy girls’ basketball team opened up the NSA Holiday Classic against Isle of Wight Academy and earned a 63-23 win.
IWA played a strong first quarter, only being down 10 going into the second, but NSA was able to control the rest of the game with its strong defense.
Three Lady Saints scored in double figures, with Cammy Reid leading the way with 19 points. Alivia Giles added 17 points, and McKinlee Goodloe added 11 points.
In their second matchup of the tournament last Saturday afternoon, the Lady Saints defeated Fredericksburg Christian School 54-21.
Maren Council led the way for the Lady Saints with 16 points. Alivia Giles and McKinlee Goodloe both added nine points.
NSA went to 5-1 on the season during the tournament.
