Lady Bulldogs split games in D.C.

The King’s Fork High School girls’ basketball team competed in the She Got Game Classic in Washington, D.C., over the weekend and went 1-1.
The Lady Bulldogs returned from D.C. at 3-1 on the season after picking up a win and taking a loss in two games Friday and Saturday.
King’s Fork opened the weekend up against Eleanor Roosevelt High School out of Maryland, earning a 54-44 win. Arlisha Boston led the way for the Lady Bulldogs, pouring in 20 points, and Niyah Gatson added 11 points.
On the second day, King’s Fork matched up with Notre Dame out of New York and took a close 43-38 loss, their first of the season. Quadaia Coles led the Lady Bulldogs that game with 12 points, with Gatson adding nine points.
King’s Fork will play in three games this week before heading into the holiday break for a few days and then getting back into the game in holiday tournaments. They will take on Western Branch High School this week, as well as Wilson High School.
