Lopez three gets win for Saints

Grant Lopez hit a go-ahead three-pointer in the final seconds of the Saints’ matchup with WCA for a win Monday night.
The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy boys’ basketball team had a tough matchup that went into overtime with Williamsburg Christian Academy Monday night on the road. NSA started out taking the lead 15-11 after the first quarter of play. WCA quickly swung things back in their favor, outscoring NSA in the second quarter. Both teams continued to go back and forth throughout the game, accounting for 13 lead changes and tying the score a total of 11 times.
As the teams headed into overtime, NSA was able to keep battling. A Grant Lopez three-pointer with three seconds remaining gave the Saints the lead and the eventual win, which keeps the Saints undefeated at 6-0 on the season.
Kemauri Spencer led the way in scoring for the Saints with 16 points, while Jaden Freeman had 14 points and Kaleb Brown had 13 points.
