Suffolk will host a Southeastern District swim meet this weekend as Nansemond River High School and King’s Fork High School will be featured.
Nansemond River and King’s Fork will face off with one another in the first ever Suffolk-hosted district meet at the YMCA Camp Arrowhead. King’s Fork is the designated home team for this meet, and both teams are looking forward to it.
“We think it’s a great opportunity for Suffolk city schools to be able to host a meet,” Nansemond River Coach Shamus Riley said. “It’s good for school support and fan support as we hope we can have that this Saturday.”
Nansemond River has been the winner of the last few city titles for the swim season, and with a win over King’s Fork, they can take the city title again for this year after having gotten a win over Lakeland already this season.
King’s Fork and Nansemond River will face off at noon Saturday.
