The Nansemond River High School boys’ basketball team took down Hickory High School last Friday.

The Warriors went a perfect 3-0 last week, winning their third game at home against Hickory last Friday. In the 75-60 win, Justin Fatherly had another strong performance, scoring 32 points for the Warriors on 60-percent shooting. Myron Brown added 13 points and six rebounds, while Omar Branch scored 12 points and Trey Chapman added nine.

Coach Ed Young felt the team had a sluggish start to the game, which had them down after the first quarter and at the half. However, in the second half, the Warriors were able to get some things going, which eventually saw them take the lead and kept building on it the rest of the game.
