The Suffolk Christian Academy boys’ basketball team defeated Ahoskie Christian School 85-38.
The Knights earned a strong win Tuesday night at home against Ahoskie. In the near 30-point win, SCA was able to dominant from start to finish, helping them put together back-to-back wins.
“It was our senior night, so it was nice for them to be able to go out there and get a win,” Coach David Daniels said. “We played well, and the guys competed hard.”
George Rennie and Cody Ferguson had big games. Rennie finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds, while Ferguson added 25 points and 14 rebounds.
With a couple of games left in the regular season, the Knights want to find ways to finish the season strong. Daniels feels good about the way the team has competed in most conference games and has hopes of tightening up a couple of things down the stretch so that SCA can finish strong.
“We have been competitive with some of the better teams in the conference,” Daniels said. “We have had some close games and some growing pains. So, all it’s about for us is just to keep learning from mistakes and things like that. We want to finish strong and get ready for the conference tournament and hopefully finish better this year than we did last year.”
