Indian River High School upset the King’s Fork High School boys’ basketball team in its season finale.
The Bulldogs will head into the region playoffs coming off of a loss, as King’s Fork took a 67-63 loss against Indian River on the road. King’s Fork still finishes the regular season with a formidable 19-3 record.
Indian River seemed to have the momentum throughout the game, making King’s Fork take tough shots. They held a 30-28 lead at the half. In the second half, the Braves were able to hold off the Bulldogs, who kept it a close game.
Jayden Epps finished with 18 points for the Bulldogs, while Tyler Chatman and Quentin Livingston both finished in double figures.
Despite the loss, the Bulldogs will still hold a top-two seed in the region and will hold homecourt advantage until, possibly, the region championship game.
