Brian Clark, of Suffolk, departed this life on Monday, Feb. 24, 2020. A native of Nansemond County (now Suffolk), he was born on Dec. 8, 1966. He was the son of Virginia M. Clark. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jacqueline D. Williams.
Brian was educated in the public schools of Suffolk and graduated in 1986 from Forest Glen High School. He was employed at Newport News Shipbuilding, Smithfield Packing, WalMart, and Target Warehouse. While at Target, he received accolades for being an exceptional team leader.
Brian was a very active member of the Forest Glen High School Alumni. You could find him at just about every event hosted by the group. He was also one of the main ticket sellers for the Old Skool Classic. Brian was a kind, caring and spiritual individual. He was fun to be around and always had words of wisdom to share.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Virginia M. Clark (Tyrone), of Suffolk; two brothers, Larry Clark (Robin), of Suffolk, and Phillip Clark (Katrina), of Hyattsville, Md.; three sisters, LaTonya S. Clark, of Portsmouth, Ann Edmond-Moore and Cherie Y. Holloman, both of Suffolk; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life will take place at noon Friday, Feb. 28, at Laurel Hill United Church of Christ, 8001 S. Quay Road, Suffolk. The family is receiving visitors at 1001 Jefferson St., Suffolk. Professional services, with dignity, have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
