Police arrest two in Wednesday shooting; victim still in critical condition

Suffolk Police have arrested two 15-year-old Portsmouth residents on multiple charges following the shooting on Wednesday evening.
The shooting happened at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the McDonald’s in the 6200 block of College Drive, according to a city press release. The victim, also a 15-year-old Portsmouth resident, remains hospitalized in critical condition.
The two male suspects have each been charged with attempted murder, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by juvenile, discharging a firearm in a dwelling, discharging a firearm in a public place, reckless handling of firearm, shooting in commission of a felony and aggravated malicious wounding, according to a city press release.
They are currently detained at the Chesapeake Juvenile Detention Center.
