The Lady Cavs ended their historic season with a state semifinal loss to the defending state champions, Spotswood High School.
The Lakeland High School girls’ basketball team was down by only three after one quarter of play before Spotswood’s pressure became too much for the young Lady Cavs.
Despite the loss, Lakeland finishes with its best season in school’s history.
