Juveniles captured after Monday chase
An eventful Monday evening in a North Suffolk neighborhood started with a police chase on the interstate.
A Virginia State Police trooper located a stolen vehicle at about 8:35 p.m. using a license plate reader on Interstate 664 southbound in Suffolk, Virginia State Police spokeswoman Sgt. Michelle Anaya stated.
The driver refused to stop, and a pursuit entailed. It ended in the Nansemond Shores neighborhood off Bridge Road, where the driver and occupants fled on foot, Anaya stated.
A perimeter was set and a K9 dog was used to help track the occupants of the vehicle. In all, three juveniles were captured, Anaya stated.
No more details were available for release, as the incident is still under investigation, Anaya said.
