Jessie M. McCoy (Jessica), 73, passed away on April 27, 2020, in Charlotte, N.C., where she resided with her daughter. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Marshal and Elizabeth Barnes.

A viewing will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2020. A graveside service will be held at noon, Thursday, May 7, 2020, at the Barnes Family Cemetery on Nansemond Parkway. Professional services have been entrusted to Peebles Funeral Home.
