Sheila D. Whitfield passed away April 19, 2020, in Houston, Texas. She was born in Suffolk on Sept. 9, 1954.

She attended Suffolk High School. She was a former member of Metropolitan Baptist Church.

She is survived by her loving children, Shabar Jerome Whitfield and Mickey Alfonso Whitfield; her grandchildren: Antonio, Mikila, Shaikeem, Kameelah & Tykeem; and her life time devoted friend, Dr. Freddie J. Wiggins.

The service for Ms. Whitfield was limited to nine family members and held on Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at Bill Clair Funeral Home. A service with dignity will be conducted by Bill Clair Funeral Home, 2603 South More Blvd., Houston, TX 77004. Phone number: 713-522-9030.
