One injured in fire early Saturday

One occupant suffered minor injuries in a fire in the 1000 block of Freeman Mill Road early Saturday.
The fire was reported at 4:12 a.m. The first unit arrived on scene at 4:20 to find smoke and fire showing from the front of the home the fire had extended into the attic.
The fire was marked under control at 5:10 a.m. The three adult occupants of the home were displaced as a result of the fire. The American Red Cross was responding to provide assistance.
One occupant suffered minor injuries but refused treatment at the scene. Firefighters were able to safely rescue multiple cats from the home.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
