UPDATE: Harris has been located safe in Virginia Beach.

The Chesapeake Police Department is seeking the public’s health locating a missing man.

A Senior Alert has been issued by Virginia State Police for Joseph Lee Harris III. Harris, age 70, is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds with brown eyes and balding gray hair. He was last seen about 4 a.m. Thursday in the Western Branch area of Chesapeake.

He is likely driving a black, 2018 Ford F-150 Quad Cab 4×4 pickup with Virginia plates USK-8119. It is unknown what clothes he may be wearing.

The man suffers from a cognitive impairment that poses a threat to his health and safety, the Senior Alert stated.
