Vanzola Bond Riddick of Gates, N.C., departed this earthly life on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2020, at her residence.
A native of Gates County, N.C., she was born on Dec. 29, 1924, to the late Benjamin Bond and Blanche Matthews Bond. She was a retired librarian for Gates County Public Schools. She was a member of Lebanon Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted son, George Riddick (Cheryl), of Suffolk; one brother, Henry Jack Bond, of Wollcott, Conn.; two grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, Aug. 23, 2020, at New Hope Baptist Church.
Hunter’s Funeral Home in Gates, N.C., is handling the arrangements.
