Police seek fraud suspect

The Suffolk Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man wanted for alleged connections in some recent thefts from motor vehicles and credit card frauds that took place throughout Hampton Roads.

The victim reported that on July 30, 2020, his vehicle was rummaged through while it was parked in a parking lot in the 5900 block of Harbour View Boulevard in Suffolk. The victim advised that several items were stolen out of his vehicle, to include his credit cards. He was later alerted by his bank about his credit cards being used in different locations in Portsmouth and Virginia Beach, totaling more than $1,700. Police were able to obtain images of the suspect from of one of the store’s security cameras.

Tipsters never have to give their names or appear in court and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
