Suffolk Police received a report of an alleged abduction of a 3-year old girl Thursday afternoon on Market Street, but reported that the child has been found safe and with family members.

Emergency Communications were contacted at 3:19 p.m. advising of the alleged child abduction in the 400 block of Market Street, according to a news release.

Police immediately began canvassing the area and looking for the girl, finding her a short while later.

Police continue to investigate and do not have further information at this time.
