Suffolk Police are investigating a commercial armed robbery that happened early Friday morning.

The robbery was reported at 3:57 a.m. at the Speedway located in the 1100 block of Carolina Road.

Upon preliminary investigation, it was determined that a white male entered the store, displayed a gun, and an undetermined amount of cash was taken before he fled the location. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

The incident remains under investigation.
