Greg A. “Turkey” Fair,  70, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2020. He was born in Piqua, Ohio to the late Carl E. Fair and Rosella Fair. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Don, Conway (Lois), Larry, Shirley (Lincoln), and Marilyn. 

Greg was Honorably Discharged from the U.S. Navy in 1972 after serving on the USS Independence. He was a member of McAlister Lodge #185 as a master mason. He was a master electrician, construction superintendent and sound technician for his beloved family of Holy Neck Christian Church in Suffolk. 

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Jill T. Stakes Fair; children, Billy (Mai), Tammy (Irene) Stakes and Neil Fair; grandchildren, Andrea, Jerry and CJ Stakes, Dylan A. Fair and Geo H.; several nieces and nephews; and Kris, Dave and Claudia, and fishing buddy, Al. 

A memorial service will be held at a later date with Reggie Warren and Rev. Dr. Dave Meadors officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 477 Viking Drive Suite 130, Virginia Beach, VA 23452 or to Holy Neck Christian Church, building fund, 4400 Holy Neck Road, Suffolk.
