Overpass design meeting tonight

A design public meeting about the Nansemond Parkway/Wilroy Road overpass project will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. tonight.

The meeting will be held at John Yeates Middle School, 4901 Bennetts Pasture Road, according to a city press release.

The city will display the design to the public and present an opportunity for citizens to provide feedback. City staff will be present and available to answer questions and receive feedback on the project.

In keeping with Gov. Ralph Northam’s mandates due to COVID-19, the wearing of face masks and social distancing measures will be practiced at this public meeting. The meeting will be held outside and will include several displays in order to maintain required social distancing, and one display will be provided on a hardtop surface.

All attendees will be provided with a project information packet, as well as a comments form.
