The Suffolk Police Department is holding a “Stuff the Police Car” event this Saturday and will be looking for the public’s help to fill the cars with toys.
Suffolk Police will have volunteer officers and a vehicle at both Walmart stores in Suffolk, 1200 N. Main St. and 6259 College Drive, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Dec. 5.
Folks are asked not to attend if you or anyone in your household is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, including fever, cough, and shortness of breath, or have been exposed to others who have experienced those symptoms within the last 14 days. Social distancing of at least six feet will be required. Please bring a mask for each person in your party to be used anytime social distancing of at least six feet cannot be maintained.
The goal is to collect as many new and unwrapped toys as possible, which will then be turned over to Toys for Tots. Help your community have a happy holiday season as part of the Suffolk Police Department “Stuff the Police Car” event.
